Pro Pride, an Ethiopian Residents Charities Organization, would like to hire qualified professional for senior finance officer position. The person to be recruited for this position will be station at Dire Dawa program office. The following are the qualification and experiences required for the position.
Senior Finance Officer
Qualification: BA, in Accounting
Experience: 6 years work experience on finance, out of which 3 years experience in NGO environment
Number of required: One
Place of Work: Dire Dawa
General Areas of Responsibilities:
· Ensure the maintenance of Pro Pride’s official accounting records in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and practices Facilitate various payments in accordance with approved budget and the existing policies and procedures
· Design use sound internal financial control system to safe guard assets, records and documents of the organization
· Analyze financial statements and other related reports to identify problem areas, takes remedial action where necessary, and makes appropriate recommendations to management and branch offices.
· Ensure that funds committed by donors are collected and periodic disbursements are made to work units and projects according to approved actions plans
· Prepare and review annual budget, and analyze variance in the budget along with narrative description of budgetary implementation
· Analyze financial statements and advises the Program Manager on its implication together with possible course of action
· Financial reports are prepared and send to head office timely and accurately.
· Plan and organize the annual inventory of physical assets
· Work toward creating enabling environment for participatory decision- making gender sensitiveness, motivation and dedication among staff members.

General requirements
- Team player with excellent financial and communication skills
- Skilled computer literacy in all Microsoft office programs, Peachtree or similar software knowledge.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
