Youth Network for Sustainable Development (YNSD) is a consortium of Ethiopian Resident Charities whose mission is to empower Ethiopian youth to be major actors for sustainable development through partnership, networking and capacity building. The Network has been re-registered under the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) Charities and Societies Agency with registration no. 1442. The organization has 4 major program areas of Youth Empowerment, Environment with special attention to climate change, Sexual and Reproductive Health/HIV and AIDs and ICT though in line with its program areas YNSD offersinternship positions for each program areas with different educational and work experience requirements.
Qualifications
• University degree in Sociology, ICT, Environment studies, Nursing and any other related social science fields
• Interest in working with youth on the issues of youth empowerment, health, environment and ICT
• Strong written and communication skill
• Researching and report writing skill
• Experience working on NGO setting is preferable
• GPA above2.5
Length of internship and application deadline
• A time commitment of 35 hours per week at office and project implementation areas is mandatory. The internship opportunity will work for 6 months with a possibility of extension, based on contractual agreements.
