1.About the Organization:

VisionFund Micro Finance Institution S.C. is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the able poor in the rural & urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the regional states of the Country through 54 branches. The MFI now seeks to fill the Senior Financial Accountant position.
 

2.About the Job:

VisionFund MFI S.C. is seeking to hire Senior Financial Accountant, on permanent basis to be based in Addis Ababa. S/he will be responsible to ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of required  financial performance & the maintenance of an updated and well kept accounting books and records.

3.Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure settlements with external parties,
  • To ensure the maintenance of an updated and well kept accounting books and records,
  • Support and provide oversight to the other financial accounting staff at HO and branch levels,
  • Ensure and assist in the preparation of documents for both internal and external,
  • Maintain sufficient control system,
  • Promptly produce regular financial and other periodic reports.
 

4.Qualifications and skills:

  • BA degree or diploma in Accounting,
  • Chartered Accountant is an added advantage,
  • 6 years of relevant experience for BA degree and 10 years for diploma,
  • Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manager a team,
  • Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of integrity,
  • Understand and be ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization ideals, mission, vision, objectives and core values,
  • Be proficient in Microsoft office, sun systems and excellent use of spreadsheets,
  • Highly developed sense of reliability and accuracy,
  • Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor and coach, Very good communication skills
