Birhan Integrated Community Development Organization (BICDO) 
Recently, Population Services International (PSI) Ethiopia award sub grants to BICDO to execute HIV prevention project — ‘MULU MARPs’. Funded by USAID, the project contributes to the national target of reducing new HIV infections by 50 % through provision of standard combination prevention services to MARPs and highly vulnerable populations in and surrounding hotspot towns of Chagni of Amhara Regions, Kurmuk, Gilgalebeles and Pawee towns of Benshangule and Gumuz Regions.
Thus, BICDO is looking for an interested individual who has experiences on HIV prevention project to work in hotspot towns of Chagni, Kurmuk, Gilgalebeles and Pawee.
1- Position Title:- Bio-Medical Coordinator
Duty station: - Based in Amhara Region, Chagni town with a frequent mobility to other project towns
Employment Type: Full time
Salary: Negotiable
Number of vacant post:- One(1)
Contract Duration: - Ten months
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• Coordination for ensuring the implementation and accomplishment of the project activity under his/her responsibility
• S/he develops monthly, quarterly and annual implementation plans
• Periodically visits target groups and provide feedback to the project coordinator.
• Supervises, leads, orients and supports the project staffs regarding to bio medical services deliverables.
• Write monthly/quarterly/annual high quality project progress reports.
• Establishes and maintain communication mechanisms with government, community partners and other stakeholders.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
• B.Sc. degree in Nurse, Public health, Health officer
• 5 years of work experience in HIV/Prevention program and providing of clinical services
• NGO experience is preferable
• Strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills
• Firm belief in teamwork
• Computer skills (Ms-word, Excel, power point and internet);
2. Position Title:- MULU/MARPs Project Officers
Duty station:- Amhara Region, of Chagni town and Benishangule and Gumuz Region of Pawee, Gilgale balas and Kurmuk towns
Employment Type:- Full time
Salary:- Negotiable
Contract Duration:- Ten months
Number of vacant post: - Four (4)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• Coordinating the projects, acting as technical person for the organization and its partners in the areas of HIV prevention,
• Implementing the action plan, monitoring and evaluating as well as reporting of HIV/AIDS projects and trainings.
• Documentation of best practices, success stories and reporting;
• Assist in the organization on community-wide events and preparing monthly review meetings with target group
• Cascade the rollout training with the PE, CSW, Peer supervisors and HIV positives
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
• B.Sc/BA in social work, Sociology, Nurse Public health
• 4 years of work experience in HIV/Prevention program and others health related services
• NGO experience is preferable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Training/facilitation skills;
• Abel to adopt different aspects of diversity (cultural, religion), firm belief in teamwork
• have Computer skills (Ms-word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet);
3. Position Title:- MULU/MARPs Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Duty station: - Based in Amhara Region, Chagni town with a frequent mobility to other project towns
Employment Types:- Full time
Salary: - Negotiable,
Contract Duration:- Ten months
Number of vacant post:- One (1)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• Prepare and Compile a quarterly monitoring and evaluation report and submit timely to donor and project coordinator.
• Gathering data, Compile, share, information on MULU/MARPs programs and disseminate and documents lesson learned, promising practices and challenge;
• On the basis of MULU/MARPS project requirements and needs, review and develop log frames M& E plans for project.
• Conduct data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results of activities during the MULU /MARP5 program implementation.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation tools (data collection, analysis etc.) as per the project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess program implementation and to ensure that programs are moving in the right direction and identify bottlenecks and solutions.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• B.Sc Degree in Public Health, Statistics or other related field,
• 5 years work experience in health related monitoring and evaluation
• Knowledge of excel, access, SPSS, and Mapping.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills particularly in English.
• Must be self-motivated and independently deliver expected tasks willing to travel to other project site.
4. Position Title:- MULU/MARPs Project Accountant
Duty station:- Amhara region, Chagni town with a frequent mobility to other project towns
Employment Type:- Full time
Salary: Negotiable
Contract Duration:- Ten months
Number of vacant post:- One (1)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• Assist in the preparation of project financial plan based on physical activities of the project;
• Controlling all the financial payments and liquidation processes of the project activity.
• Monitor financial plan performance and project transactions according to PSI/ BICDO procedures to ensure healthy financial flow;
• Verify and prepare payment documents in line with programme budgets;
• Register the financial operations in the applicable accounting databases and Maintain effective project finance accounts and financial documentations
• Assist in the preparation of financial report and periodical submission of reports;
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
• BA in Accounting
• 4 years of work experience
• NGO experience is preferable.
• Experience on financial analysis skills,
• High level computer proficiency,
• Knowledge of Peachtree Accounting;
• Good communication and report writing skills.
