Finance Director - World Learning Ethiopia

World Learning is 81-year-old global non-profit organization with operations in 77 countries. World Learning Inc. is an international non-Government Organization conducting educational, Health and development projects in the above mentioned number of countries.
World Learning Inc./Ethiopia (WLI/E) was established in 1996 basing its Country Office at Addis Ababa. WLE implements its programs in nine regions and two city administrations.
World Learning Inc./Ethiopia (WLI/E) has an immediate opening for the following position,
Finance Director, WLE

Job Summary
This is a senior level finance position that will lead the country office’s team of finance professionals and establish adequate policies, internal controls and procedures. The position will work with the Country Representative in developing organization’s strategy and will be responsible for overall compliance of the with US Govt. regulations, CSA, requirements, and local laws, will supervise all financial management functions including monthly/ quarterly financial statements, financial forecasts, and budgets; Oversee general accounting functions, account reconciliation, and cash management; Administer the financial systems, evaluating and integrating new applications; Develop highly skilled accounting and financial management team to achieve established objectives; Interact with the World Learning home office concerning financial forecasts and reports.
II. Requirements:
The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
B.A. Degree in Accounting with 10 years of experience, preferably MA/MBA or certification like CPA or ACCA;
• Outstanding analytical and financial analysis skills with passion for details;
• Strong computer skill and proficiency In Excel and at least one other accounting software;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with great attention to details;
• Ability to organize and work with large amounts of complex information;
• Excellent communication skills in English;
• Experience working on US Govt. funded projects and/or working for non-profit organizations;
• Experience with CSA regulations, reporting, and communication.
• Hands-on knowledge of OMB Circulars is a plus.

Terms of Employment: One year contract with possible extension
Salary: As per the scale of the organization
