DKT Ethiopia (DKT/E) prevents unwanted pregnancy and HIV in Ethiopia. Active since 1990, DKT/E ensures a consistent supply of high quality condoms, contraceptives and other health products throughout Ethiopia. From 2002 - 2007, DKT/E distributed approximately 75% of all con�doms in Ethiopia. DKT/E also distributed 44% and 42% of oral and depo provera, respectively, and accounted for 45% of CYP over this period. DKT Ethiopia invites potential applicants for the post of: Regional Rural Social Marketing Coordinator

Duty Station: Oromia

Project Sites: West Arsi Zone

Qualification and Experience:

• Appropriate Degree in the field of Social Sciences with a minimum of three years relevant experience

• Ability to use monitoring and research data to improve results

• Ability to work in teams and across departments

• Strong motivational personality for team building and training

• Results driven, pro- active

• Ability to speak Local languages is mandatory (language of Oromiffa)

• Excellent writing and presentation skills

• Proficiency with computer applications

• Willing to travel up to 300 days per year

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adapt existing social marketing program for use in rural areas

• Conduct market assessment for identified target areas

• Develop market strategies and interventions

• Develop implementation plan and strategies of regional sales and communication activities of the area in collaboration with the regional head

• Execute/Implement Regional sales and communication activities of the specific area according to action plan and budgets

• Coordinate and supervise rural sales activities

• Ensure proper and updated sales information of the area

• Participate and assist in developing product research and other new program ideas

• Provide periodic reports of all rural sales activities according to the timeline and standard report format

Salary and Benefits: According to the organization scale.

Terms of Employment: One Year and Four Months (From October 2013 to January 2015)
