The Society of Human Resource Management in Ethiopia (SHRME) is a professional human resources association established to promote the role of HR as a profession and provides education, training, and networking to its members while lobbying professional practice of HR and labor management related issues.
SHRME’s objective is to Serve the Professional and Advance the Profession. We provide comprehensive information and tools to human resource professionals to enable them to make informed decisions. We facilitate the exchange of ideas and increase the knowledge of participants through HR forums.

- Director, Analytics:
The
Director of Analytics will work directly with the program directors from the 7
initial areas of focus to assist each program to develop visions, roadmaps and
implementation support plans together with key stakeholders and implementation
partners in the focus areas.

At least 10 years
of experience in management consulting with leadership experience.
·
Master’s degree in
Business Administration, or Master’s / PhD in Agriculture Science or other
relevant subject.
·
Understanding of
Ethiopia’s agricultural system, with a broad perspective on how the entire
system operates and how public, private and informal actors operate within the
system.
- Director, Monitoring Learning
& Evaluation:
The
Director of Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation will lead the MLE
cross-cutting team in working with ATA Senior Management and key stakeholders
in the agricultural sector to monitor and evaluate ATA’s performance against
its organizational goals, the annual transformation agenda within the
agricultural sector, and build the Ministry of Agriculture’s capacity to do the
same more broadly in the long-term, for the Ethiopian agriculture sector.

Advanced degree
(PhD preferred) in Business Administration, Agriculture Science or other
relevant subject
·
At least 10 years
of experience in agricultural development is essential, with expertise in
M&E preferred
·
At least 10 years
of experience leading teams to achieve high-impact results in a senior
leadership role in government, international agency, or private sector
·
Deep understanding
of Ethiopia’s agricultural system, with a broad perspective on how the entire
system operates and how public, private, NGO and informal actors operate within
the system

Director, Soil Health & Fertility:
The Soil Health and
Fertility Program Director will have primary responsibility for developing,
implementing and supporting a portfolio of initiatives to improve soil health
and fertility across Ethiopia’s diverse agro ecologies.

Master’s degree or
PhD in soil science, agronomy, agricultural engineering or closely related
field.
·
Demonstrated 10-15 years of experience in
soils, agronomy or land resource management in a leadership role.
·
Deep understanding of Ethiopia’s agricultural
system, with a broad perspective on how the entire system operates and how
public, private and informal actors operate within the system.
·
Deep technical knowledge regarding state-of-the-art
methods to improve soil fertility
- Director, Climate &
Environmental Sustainability:
The
Climate and Environmental Sustainability Director will be responsible for the
coordination and strategic direction of the ATA’s overall activities linked to climate-smart
rural development.
·
10-15 years in a
senior program leadership role in government, international agency or private
sector.
·
Master’s / PhD in
Agriculture Science, or Master’s degree in Business Administration, or other
relevant subject
·
Deep understanding
of Ethiopia’s agricultural system, with a broad perspective on how the entire
system operates and how public, private and informal actors operate within the
system.
·
Understanding and
experience in creating an enabling climate for better agricultural practices
especially by those who practice rain-fed agriculture.
·
Understanding of
the climate information needs of smallholders who depend on seasonal rainfall.
- Director Input & Output:
The
Director of Input and Output Systems will lead the program team and work with
ATA Senior Management to support implementation of priority initiatives that
facilitate systemic level changes to improve the efficiency of input and output
markets.
·
Master’s degree
(PhD preferred) in business, management, agricultural economics or other
relevant subject
·
At least 10 years
of experience in input and output market, agricultural finance and policy
analysis at a leadership role
·
An extensive
network, with relationships with the key players, both locally and
internationally, within cereal and pulses/oilseeds markets
·
Understanding of
Ethiopia’s agricultural system, with a broad perspective on how the entire
system operates including the actual and potential role that cooperatives play
·
Understanding of
how public, private and informal actors operate within the agricultural system
