Wisdom Micro Financing Institution s.c. is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the able poor in the rural & urban areas of Ethiopia. WSDOM is currently operating in four of the regional states of the Country through 54 branches. The MFI Now seeks to fill the following vacant position.

Budget Officer

About the Job:

        Wisdom MFI S.C. is seeking to hire Budget manager, on permanent                                  basis to be based in Addis Ababa. S/he will be responsible for the                                                    day-to-day management of the Budget related duties and responsibilities that is to plan  the timely acquisition and use of funds.

2. Tasks and responsibilities:

• prepare short and medium term budget with monthly and quarterly breakdown
• Analyze cost, benefits and trends in rates of obligations and expenditure of funds

3. Qualifications and skills:

• Minimum of BA in accounting and certification in the field
• At least 6-years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of financial services, especially in private banks or microfinance institutions,
• Comprehensive knowledge of budget principles and methods;
• Comprehensive knowledge of MFI objectives, functions and system of operations is an asset
• Advanced knowledge of business accounting & financial management
• Speak & write English proficiently,
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
• Good command of written & oral English skill
