Human Resource Manager - Hohete Tibeb Share Company

Hohete Tibeb Share Company is an education focused company providing quality education at its Ethio-Parents’ School in different campuses.
Currently the company is in the process of expanding its activities in other related activities.
The company would like to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated Human Resource Manager who can manage over all Human Resource activities.
Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager will be part of the Management Team of the Company and render regular support to the Company’s Chief Executive Officer who will have the ultimate responsibility to implement the Company’s Strategic Plan that is approved by the Board of Directors.
The Human Resources Manager is therefore, responsible for the design of work positions, recruitment and staffing, salary and benefit administration, performance management and appraisal systems, employee motivation and recognition, career and succession planning: employee relations, and employee training and development.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities.
• Planning and Managing recruitment and selection of staff
• Planning and conducting new employee orientation
• Identifying and managing training and development needs for employees
• Developing and implementing Human Resources policies and procedures
• Administrating salary and benefits packages
• Ensuring salary and benefits packages are in line with company policies and regulations
• Supporting annual salary and benefit review
• Implementing and monitoring performance management and appraisal systems
• Handling employee complaints, grievances and disputes
• Administering employee safety, welfare and wellness
• Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resource functions
• Managing the staff working in the department and making sure that they discharge the duties and responsibilities entrusted to them properly
• Performing other duties as required and assigned by the Chief Executive Officer from time to time
Required Qualification and Skills:
• Minimum of BA Degree in Management, Human Resource Management or other related management fields.
• Overall work experience of 8 to 12 years out of which at least 4 years are as a Head of Human Resource Management
• Knowledge of Labor legislations, regulations, and bargaining collective agreement with the Company Labor Union
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Initiative and resourcefulness: demonstrated ability to propose new ideas to the attention of the Chief Executive Officer
• Ability to independently organize, plan and control workload
• Well developed skill in using general purpose software such as Microsoft Office Applications
