With duty station in Addis Ababa and reporting to Manager, Marketing Surveillance, you will be responsible to:

JOB PURPOSE
Monitor bids and offers, and other price discovery mechanisms for each commodity to ensure integrity of the market’s price discovery mechanisms. Gather information on market behaviors based on observation and tips. Alert on market conditions that threaten the market’s price discovery mechanisms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct real time market surveillance on the trading floor;
  • Monitor bids and offers, and other price discovery mechanisms for each commodity and identify abnormal prices against the daily price range limits for each commodity;
  • Review  market movement in price, quantity and participants and recommend corrective measures for identified trade issues;
  • Maintain trade violations & incident reports and periodically review & prepare analysis of such logs & reports;
  • Alert market surveillance manager on market conditions that threaten the market’s price discovery mechanisms; gather information on market behaviors based on observation and tips.
  • Conduct warehouse surveillance on regular basis and performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

BA degree in Management, Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance or related field & 3 years of experience with good negotiation skill.
