VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
International cardiovascular & medical center is a share company established by over 2600 shareholders whose profession is medical and other professionals with a vision to become a leading Health Maintenance Organization. Core values that the Share Company aims to achieve include ethical and quality care encompassing health promotion, prevention and curative care. Currently, the company is in its final phase of preparations to launch over 60 bed capacities of cardiovascular center and Internal Medicine, Surgery obstetrics & gynecology pediatric and emergency.

The board of Directors, therefore, invites qualified and motivated professionals to fill in the following positions with immediate effect
 
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
Position Summary:
The CEO provides strategic and operational management to meet the service delivery, workforce and business objectives of specialized Center. She/he is an open minded, innovative and dynamic professional and commands a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities in health delivery in public and private settings, human resources for health and demonstrates skills in managing a team of professional with diverse expertise and background. She/he has a proven track record in human, financial and materials management and strategic partnership. She/he is a good communicator and familiar with basic computer skills.

General  Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the planning, executes, directs and controls the overall activities of the Share Company.
  • Administers shares of the Company and their ownership as per the rules, policies and decisions of the General Assembly.
  • Administer the bank accounts of the ICMC in line with directives set by the Board of Directors.
  • Represents or liaises with various levels of government organizations, community partners and other stakeholders to advance the goals of the ICMC.
  • Assess and identify internal and external issues that affect the ICMC and inform the Board of Directors.
  • Identifies and evaluates the risks to the organization's people, property, finances, goodwill, and image and take necessary measures to control risks.
  • Promote the company to local, regional, national, and international constituencies.
  • Executes resolutions and decisions made by the Board of Directors.
  • Administers dividends, shareholders records, gifts, sales or share transfers, legal reserves and retained earnings.
  • Performs duties as specified on the Articles of Incorporation and Articles of Association.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Planning
  • Develops a strategic plan to advance the ICMC mission and objectives and that promotes high quality services, revenue, profitability and growth as an organization.
  • Prepares and submits to the Board, annual budget and work plan of the ICMC; and implement same upon approval.
  • Initiates business and investment development strategies that reflect the interest of the ICMC.
  • Identify acquisition and merger opportunities and direct implementation activities.

Staffing
  • Organizes the office of the ICMC, employs, administers and dismisses personnel and fixes their salaries and allowances, in accordance with directives given by the Board.
  • Ensures that the management team and staff are focused on achieving the mission and strategic priorities of ICMC.
  • Ensures the availability of adequate staff with appropriate training in order to provide quality service.
  • Recruits and nominates management staff and hires upon endorsement by the Board of Directors.
  • Devises ways and means to motivate and boost employee morale.
  • Evaluates the performance of subordinates.
Organizing and Leadership
  • Exercises the powers and discharges the duties of the ICMC in accordance with the directives given to him/her by the Board.
  • Drafts new policies and reviews existing policies on periodic basis for the approval of the Board and prepares procedures to implement the organizational policies.
  • Ensures that the operations of the ICMC meet the expectations of its shareholder, the Board and other stakeholders.
  • Serves as chairperson of the ICMC Management Committee.
  • Responsible for the overall day-to-day leadership and management of the ICMC.
  • Ensures that the ICMC has the right management systems and structures to carry out its work effectively, efficiently, accountably and safely.
  • Establishes a positive, healthy and safe working environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations of the Country.

Controlling
  • Ascertains that various activities of ICMC are executed properly in accordance with the prevailing policies, establishment act and internal regulations outlined by the Board.
  • Approves expenditures within the authority delegated by the Board.
  • Allocates and manages resources of ICMC in an efficient manner.
  • Ensures that all working units of ICMC are performing in accordance to the authorities delegated to them.
  • Ensures that shareholders’ accounts are properly managed and dividends are paid to shareholders as decided by the General Assembly and Board of Directors.

Reporting
  • Establishes indicators and standards to evaluate the services provided.
  • Presents the periodic performance reports (monthly, quarterly and annually) to the Board of Directors.

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • Knowledge of leadership and management principles
  • Knowledge of current business community challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of ICMC
  • Capability of strategic thinking
  • Ability to build networks and partnerships
  • Skills in communication, negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Work requires frequent weekend and evening work
  • Works under pressure and longer hours
  • Personal integrity and credibility
  • Good team player
b.      Education and work experience
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Health Economics; or Medical Doctor with specialization in Public Health, Hospital Management and Administration or other health sciences; with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in related work, of which 5 years’ experience is in leadership position in a similar business undertaking.
